MIRA is currently promoting the Welcoming Missouri Initiative. This campaign is designed to educate Missourians about immigration issues and their immigrant neighbors. We strive to promote community engagement among immigrant and non-immigrant societies, and create a mutual respect and understanding of one another.
This meeting will serve as a meet and greet to jump start the new season. In the future, members will receive training by MIRA on topics such as cultural awareness, the immigration system and civil rights. We would also like to plan and organize events such as potluck dinners, movie screenings and educational seminars for the community.
